Mangaluru Lit Fest 2021 to be held on March 27

Mangaluru: Mangaluru Literary Foundation has organised the third edition of the Mangaluru Lit Fest 2021. The Lit Fest will be held at Ocean Pearl Hotel in Kodialbail on Saturday, March 27.

The theme of the Lit Fest is “Reimagining the Idea of ??Bharat ’’. Only invited professionals will participate in the Lit fest and there will be 6 sessions of seminars on various themes,” said the organisers. Vikram Sood, former chief, research and analysis wing, Shakti Sinha, IAS, former principal secretary to PM of India, Prof. Madhava Nalpat, Chairman, UNESCO Chair, Mahe, Mangala Siddhi, folk artist, Dr. Vikram Sampath, author, Sheshadri Chari, former editor organiser, Sunil Puranik, Chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Bengaluru, Suchendra Prasad, Cine actor, Dr. B V Vasant Kumar, chairman of Kannada Sahitya Academy, Rohit Chakrathirtha, member of Kannada Abhivruddhi Pradhikara and many other dignitaries will participate, they informed.

Speaking to News Karnataka, Organiser Capt. Brijesh Chowta informed that following Covid 19 guidelines imposed by the state, only 150 delegates including registered members will attend the event, and the entire event will be live, and interested can join online.

The Lit Fest is an attempt to showcase the ancient Indian wisdom of peace, prosperity, and universal well-being as enshrined in Indian scriptures from the Indian historical perspective through intellectual discourse by the finest literary minds across the globe.
