Mangaluru: The Mysuru division of the South Western Railways in its release, here on Tuesday, July 23, has clarified that owing to the process of clearing huge boulders and rocks on the rail lines between Subramanya-Sakleshpur trains services will not be operated between Hassan and Mangaluru for three days.
The process of breaking the boulders near one of the tunnels has been on from the past couple of days. They are being demolished using explosives and JCBs. According to the railway authority, the process might take another three days, due to which the railway services between these lines are cancelled.
The Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwanthpur Express and Yeshwanthpur-Mangaluru Junction Express train services scheduled on Tuesdays are cancelled.
Similarly, Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwanthpur Express, Yeshwanthpur-Karwar Express and Mangaluru Central Express trains on Wednesday and Karwar-Yeshwanthpur Express trains of Thursday won’t run.
Meanwhile, the railway authority has also decided to make changes in several routes.
