Mangaluru: Jhadi Rishi from Bihar who works at Jayalakshmi in Mangaluru loses Rs 4500 after getting religious icons in place of the phone that he ordered through a sales executive.
According to Jhadi, the sales executive told him that she was calling from Redmi Company in Mumbai and offered him a phone worth Rs 16,000 at the rate of just Rs 4500. Upon hearing the offer, Jhadi placed the order and she told him to pay the money at the post office upon delivery. He received the parcel from Mangaluru post office on Thursday April 15. When he opened the parcel, there was no phone inside and instead there were three religious icons.
“Before the sales executive used to call me daily to inform that the phone is on its way but now, she is not picking up the call,” explained Jhadi who is in complete distress over the loss of his hard-earned money. He explained that he had taken an advance from his salary to buy the phone. Jhadi said that he will approach the police if the the customer care does not respond.
