Lanslides: MRPL shuts down Phase III units

Mangaluru: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has shut down its Phase-III units as a precautionary measure because of the minor landslide in the area after the region witnessed incessant rainfall.
As per a communication issued by the MRPL, the landslide has affected a pipe rack carrying pipelines between the process units and as a precautionary measure, the units in the Phase-III complex has been temporarily shut down. Steps have been initiated for the stabilization of the pipe rack and resolving the matter. Meanwhile, the release has stated that the Phase-I and Phase-II of the refinery complex and the product dispatch facilities remain unaffected and operating normally.
