K’taka govt extends lockdown in DK, 12 other disrticts with more than 5% positivity

Bengaluru: Amid the second wave of Covid 19 Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Saturday June 19 announced the relaxation of lockdown in 16 districts with 5% positivity rate.

He said the lockdown and weekend curfew will be extended in the rest 13 districts till July 5. Those districts are Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Udupi, Shivamogga, Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru rural, Davangere, Kodagu, Dharwad, Ballari, Chitradurga, and Vijayapura.

All the shops, hotels, restaurants allowed to operate till 5 pm in 16 districts that have less than 5% positivity rate, he added.
