Mangaluru: Minister of Muzrai Kota Srinivasa Poojary met Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Thursday, May 20, and submitted a memorandum.
Minister Poojary requested to sanction Rs 100 crore from natural disaster fund to the district as due to cyclone Taukte many roads in the district have damaged and that total cost of damage estimated rupees 120 crores.
He also requested to make additional appointments of 40 Aarogya Mitra executives, more doctors, and nurses in the district to handle the Covid second wave more effectively. He demanded an oxygen tanker, 50000 Covaxin, and 1lakh Covishield anti-Covid Vaccines.
He also requested CM to make necessary arrangements to identify the village panchayat and city corporation members as Covid warriors and to vaccinate them free of cost.
Fisheries Minister S. Angara, MLA Sanjeev Mattandur, and Rajesh Naik were present.
