Mangaluru: Kannada film ‘Savarnadeergha Sandhi’, directed by ‘Chalipolilu’ fame Veerendra Shetty, will hit silver screens across the state on October 18.
As a director, Veerendra Shetty had tasted success with the Tulu movie ‘Chalipolilu’. Shetty plays the hero apart from directing this film. He is also one of the four producers of this movie. The other three producers are Lushington Thomas, Hemanth Kumar and Manomurthy.
The cast comprises Surendra Bantwal, Padmaja Rao, Ravi Bhat, Krishna Nadig, Ravi Mandya, Ajith Hanumakkanavar, Niranjan Deshpande, Avinash Neenasam, Dattatreya Kurahatti, Sanketh Shivappa and others. Lokanathan Srinivasan of Malayalam movie ‘Ustad Hotel’ fame, has done the cinematography. Manomurthy has composed the music. Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Goshal and others have done the vocals for the songs. Actress Krishnaa plays the female lead.
Informing about the movie, Shetty said that this is first Kannada movie to introduce the concept of ‘grammar comedy’. Shedding light on the story, Shetty said that, although the hero is an uneducated person and a gangster, he has thorough knowledge about the Kannada grammar. “We have given utmost priority to entertain the audience through ‘grammar comedy’,” he said.
