Infant Jesus Shrine Bikarnakatte re-opens after lockdown

Mangaluru: The famous Infant Jesus Shrine at Bikarnakatte in the city has opened after five months of closure. The shrine and all activities in the infant Jesus shrine were closed due to deadly Coronavirus (COVID 19). Adhering to the government rules, regulations, and guidance, Novena masses started from yesterday.

 

Fr. Charles Serrao, Superior, and Fr. Rovel D’Souza, Shrine Director addressing the media in Mangaluru said that hereafter every Thursday, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 6.00 am, 7.30 am, 10.30 am, and 6.00 pm. On weekdays, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 6.30 am and 6.00 pm.

Devotees rushed to this Holy place to offer prayers and to receive blessings. The church and premises are sanitized after every mass and devotees followed social distance.

Special prayers were offered for all doctors, nurses, police departments, and COVID 19 warriors for their selfless service and all people of the world who are affected.
