Mangaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police and Narcotics and Economic Offences police arrested eight Kerala based students, in connection with selling ganja to college students and public in district, on Sunday, January 13.
The arrested have been identified as Akshay Prasad (22), son of Shivaprasad, a resident of Kollam district, Jafer (22), son of Mohammed, a resident of Borugudde, Kannur, Nimil (21), son of Mohanan, a resident of Kannur in Kerala, Amith Srivatsan (21), son of Srivatsam, a resident of Edakkad in Kannur district in Kerala, Ashwin (21), son of Suresh Kumar, a resident of Kappad in Kannur district in Kerala, Mohammed Ameer (22), son of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Kozikode, Akash S Nair (23), son of Santhosh Kumar of Aranmula village in Kerala and Akshay (22) son of Ramesh, a resident of Kannur in Kerala.
Among the accused seven are the students of two engineering colleges and one is pursuing physiotherapy course in a college in city, police sources said.
