Mangaluru: A 50-year-old woman from Bantwal died on Sunday due to COVID-19 and soon after her death, people started circulating her pictures on the social networking sites.
Warning against such activities, Superintendent of Police Dr BM Lakshmi Prasad said that people must refrain from circulating the images of the victim.
The SP has warned stern action against people found to be circulating the images of the lady, who became the first COVID-19 victim of the district.
“This is against the law and the police have already started tracing people who have been forwarding and circulating the images of the lady,” he said.
