Mangaluru: Demanding the withdrawal of the ban on private media from telecasting the House proceedings, the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union has submitted a memorandum to the Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh on Monday, October 14.
As per the recent announcement by the Speaker of the Assembly, only Doordarshan cameras are allowed inside the Legislative Assembly.
The members of the association, in their memorandum, requested that the restriction be rescinded immediately.
Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association president Srinivas Nayak Indaje, Press Club president Annu Mangaluru, members Bhaskar Rai and Hilary Crasta were present.
