Mangaluru: Condemning the terror attack at Pulwama which resulted in the death of 49 CRPF personnel, the Dakshina Kannada district unit of BJP staged a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday, February 18.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, while addressing the protesters, stressed on the need to teach a befitting lesson to Pakistan, claiming that it supported terrorists, “We should retaliate in a strong manner to Pulwama attack. The government had shown its capacity through its surgical strike earlier. Likewise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take stringent action against the terrorists. It is the wish of all people who are living in this country”, he said.
Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian proposed that those people who live in India and support Pakistan should be banished first. “The whole country has shown the solidarity with the army after the terror attack at Pulwama. It is our duty to extend our moral support to the army men as they fight for us”, he said.
Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik, Sullia MLA Angara, District BJP General Secretary Capt Brijesh Chowta among others were present.
