Mangaluru: District Congress led by former district youth Congress president Mithun Rai carried out a cycle rally here on Wednesday, July 7 against BJP government for hike in petrol and diesel prices.
Mithun Rai said, “The BJP government has raised the price of petrol and diesel on a daily basis. The price of petrol has crossed the RS 100 mark. The public has been concerned about the rise in prices of vital commodities throughout this pandemic. This is a protest for the general public, not for ‘Andhbhakts,’ Modi bhakts, or BJP representatives. We are the voices of people in distress.”
Congress leaders A C Vinayaraj, Abdul Rauf, T K Sudhir, Prakash Salian, Vishwas Das, Appi and others were present.
