Mangaluru: As many as 47 people arrived at the Mangaluru International Airport from Bengaluru on Monday, May 25. Out of those who arrived, 13 were quarantined by the district administration.
It can be recalled that domestic flight operations resumed on May 25 after receiving the nod from the Central Government.
All those who arrived at MIA today were screened as per the protocols. Thirteen of the passengers who landed at the airport here had started their journey from Delhi and Pune and came to Mangaluru via Bengaluru, which is why they were sent to quarantine centres.
It can be noted that the Karnataka Government had issued guidelines that people arriving from high risk states like Maharashtra and Delhi would have to undergo institutional quarantine for seven days and home quarantine for another seven days.
The rest of the passengers were asked to undergo home quarantine and to follow certain guidelines.
