Mangaluru: In connection to derogatory comments posted on social media, district administration has filed a criminal case against a person on Sunday, March, 29.
The accused has been identified as Melwin Pinto.
Sources from district administration informed that the accused Melwin Pinto has posted derogatory comments against district administration on WhatsApp and misguided the public by stating that the COVID-19 situation is not being handled by the district administration efficiently.
The district administration has warned of taking stringent action against those who post fake and derogatory comments against district administration on social media.
Meanwhile, district administration has informed that it has opened a store room at Smart City office in MCC for collecting grocery items from the donors and appointed Commissioner of Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) as the nodal officer for this.
