Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Qazi Al-Haj Twaka Ahmed Musliyar on Tuesday, May 11 announced that the crescent moon was not sighted in the district.
He said that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Thursday, May 13.
This means that residents of the DK district will fast for 30 days before celebrating Eid on Thursday, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
