Covid patients to get better treatment in the coming days: DC-1

Mangaluru: The Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, Rajendra K. V called on to provide better treatment in the coming days with the provision of beds and adequate infrastructure to treat them as more and more covid infected people are likely to come in for treatment.

He was speaking at a meet with doctors during his visit to the Wenlock district hospital on Saturday April 17 to review the provision of additional beds for treatment.

"Covid cases are on the rise in recent times and there should be no shortage of doctors and nurses in the hospital to treat them," he said.

He said that assigning large number of students of KMC Medical College will help provide the necessary medical services.

The district authorities were instructed to treat the people with common symptoms at the ESI hospital in the city.

Wenlock hospital was instructed provided with Covid test reports without delay to the computer personnel working in the virology department of the District.

He said that the hospital should ensure that beds, ICUs, ventilators and medicines reserved for the covid cases should be organised and structured.

He said that accessories including medication inventory, should be kept in place for the next 15 to 20 days.
