It was reported that the Karnataka City Water Supply and Drainage Committee had built a borewell for Bolangadi SC/ST colony at an estimated cost of 10 lakhs twelve years ago, at the children’s playground in Aladka ( survey number 28) in Panemangalore village. Sources say that that there are no records for it.
People had complained to the police that the borewell remains unused till date. Residents complained that “the open well is at a residential area and near the Playground fills with water in the rainy season. Madrasa students and localites also go for swimming in the well which is very dangerous. So necessary steps must be taken. All the money used for the construction of this well is loss for the government. They should take action against concerned officials.”

On April 23, 2003 it had handed over to the panchayat for further construction. DYSP promised f strict action against the officials after reviewing all the documentation.
