Mangaluru: “I have worked with utmost honesty and sincerity for the holistic development of the district and have followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s motto ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ by responding to every issue raised by the public”, said MLA Vedavyas Kamath.

In his press statement he said, “Although I have promptly implemented projects which are pro-people, more such developmental projects will be implemented in future too. In order to understand the pulse of the people, I’ve reserved my time to visit each and every area in my constituency and interacted with them. The district is gradually emerging to be recognized in the global platform as well, by getting selected under the Central government’s ‘Smart City’ and ‘Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)’ scheme. By this, the city has become the only city to be included under both the schemes. This was achievable by the efforts put in by the current BJP state president and Parliamentarian Nalin Kumar Kateel.”

He further added that the state and the MCC had non BJP administration earlier. The  city was unable to witness large scale development due to this. “Some had even caused issues when the developmental projects were under progress. Now as the state government is under the BJP regime, I am able to convince the government to release sufficient funds towards my constituency. Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has releases Rs 25 crores as a special grant to the district,” he said.

Throwing light on the BJP corporators of the city and their efforts in development, he said, “Wards which are under the BJP corporators have witnessed several developmental projects. This was possible only because of the efforts put in by the corporators. As the MCC election is inching closer, the party has fielded able candidates in 38 wards, which come under Mangaluru South Assembly constituency. I request all the electorate to support them and help them win.”

Meanwhile, Vedavyas Kamath has said that as the Centre, State and the district is under the regime of the BJP government, it was time for the electorate of the city to help the party win in the upcoming Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) election for a ‘Smarter Mangaluru.’
