Mangalore : Barke police have on Monday June 30 night arrested two notorious thieves who used to steal supporting clamps used for concrete works. Those arrested are Manoj and Jaleel Ahmed of Kattalsar in Ambikanagar.
Four mobile sets, an autorickshaw, three bags of clamps and a cash of Rs 500 has been recovered from them. The value of the seized goods is estimated at Rs 80,500.
Barke SI Revathi who was on night patrol, intercepted an autorickshaw which was moving suspiciously on Lalbagh Road. On enquiry, it came to light that the two persons in the vehicle were thieves.
The duo has admitted that they intended to sell the stolen clamps.
