Aravind Padiyar of Kundapur dies in road mishap at Chennarayapatna

Kundapur : A road mishap involving a KSRTC bus and a truck at Chennarayapatna on June 4, Tuesday night has claimed the life of three persons including  Aravind Padiyar hailing from Kundapur. Aravind (44) who was  head of Formulation Development (pharma) at Himalaya Drug Company and son of Dr S N Padiyar, Founder of Seva Sangama Trust and Tekkatte Vidyagiri Seva Sangama Vidyakendra, was travelling in the bus  to his hometown Uppunda to attend a function when the mishap took place.

The drivers of both the bus and the truck were also killed in the mishap. Aravind who had done his M. Pharma from  Birla Institute of Technology and Science,  had worked in several companies like Dabur and Ranbaxy before joining  Himalaya Drug Company.

He is survived by his parents, wife, a son and daughter.
