Mangaluru: As tribute to living legends S P Balasubrahmanyam and S Janaki, veteran playback singers Ajay Warrier and Archana Udupa will enthral the audience by singing songs which were originally sung by both Balasubrahmanyam and S Janaki, at the Town Hall on December 7.
An exclusive showroom of sanitaryware, ‘Walfloora’ will be organising this unique programme. It has organised similar programmes last year as well, as a tribute to the legendary singer Padma Shree Dr K J Yesudas.
Ajay Warrier told reporters here on Wednesday, December 4, that this programme is being conducted in an effort to shed light on the evergreen songs of Balasubrahmanyam and Janaki, as people rarely get to listen to old songs. “The programme will start at around 5 pm. During the four-hour programme, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu songs will be sung, which were originally sung by Balasubrahmanyam and Janaki. We are expecting a large crowd to witness the programme,” he said.
Organisers of the programme Sushanth Bhandary, Umakanth and Damodar Bhagavath were present.
