Aishwarya wins Benedryl BIG Golden voice regional round

Mangaluru: 92.7 BIG FM, South Canaras most heard FM station organized the finals of Benedryl BIG Golden voice Mangalore regional round on Saturday, August 1st at Roshni Nilaya College, Mangaluru.

Aishwarya Mallikarjun won the finals of regional round and has been nominated to enter into the next round to be held in Mumbai. Lasya Upadhyaya emerged as the first runner up.

In it’s third year, BIG GOLDEN VOICE, a unique, first-of-its-kind radio based singing talent hunt conducted across 92.7 BIG FM’s 45 stations & first time ever internationally where celebrity judge and mentor  Shankar Mahadevan is looking for the BENADRYL BIG Golden Voice of the country. The winner of this talent hunt will get a chance to debut as a playback singer in bollywood.  It is a two-month long activity that not only encourages local talent from socio- cultural regions but also provides them with the opportunity to bring out their best.
 
To participate, listeners had to register through Interactive Voice Response (IVR). In Mangalore, the participants had to register by singing a Tulu /Kannada folk song. BIG FM, Mangalore received tremendous response and  Saleem Javed,  Rakshita, Shivshankar, Aishwarya Mallikarjun and Lasya Upadhyaya were chosen for the finals which was held in Roshni Nilaya College, Mangaluru.

Writer, Director, Lyricist and Singer Mr.Shashiraj Kavoor and popular singer  Prakash Mahadevan were the judges for the BIG Golden voice city rounds.  Producer/Director of Super Hit Tulu Movie ‘Chaali Polilu’ Mr.Prakash Pandeshwar and Mr.Virendra Shetty Kavoor,  Mr.Renny Dsouza ,Director of Childline-1098 ,  Mr.Prasanna from World of  TITAN City centre mall and students from various schools were present.

The top 12 city winners from across the nation will be called to Mumbai for the next round. The winner of  Benedryl Big Golden Voice will get a chance to work with composer-vocalist Shankar Mahadevan.  Last edition’s winner Sayani Palit won an opportunity to sing for Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie ‘Katti Batti’.

Rj Errol , Rj Roopesh and Rj Rakshitha hosted the show. Executive Producer  Shilpa Shetty welcomed the gathering. Promo Producer Joel Rebello, Sales Manger Rakesh,  staff of Child line-1098 Mangalore, college faculty were present. Childline-1098 Mangalore was associated with this programme.
