Mangaluru: A rise in the number of cases of abandoned puppies and kittens has led Animal Care Trust to conduct another adoption camp. ACT will be holding an adoption camp for Desi pups and kittens on October 20 at Niran Motors Private Limited, Bangrakuloor, between 1 AM and 5 PM.
As always, no adoption fee will be charged, however, ACT will only collect a fee of Rs 200 to cover the costs of basic medical expenses for the animals.
Those who wish to adopt are required to get a valid photo ID, as proof for registration. Adopting families will also have access to advise about pet care at home.
ACT has been conducting these kinds of camps more frequently as there has been a rise in the number of abandoned animals. They hold camps, in around Mangalore, Surathkal, BC Road, Mulki etc. So far, they have been receiving overwhelming responses from families and positive feedback.
