Mangaluru: The Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) held the Graduation Day of Father Muller School and College of Nursing on Saturday, March 23.
As many as 175 graduates from the school and college of nursing celebrated their success on this day. It was a matter of pride for the institution as there were 102 students from BSc nursing, 24 students from Post Basic BSc nursing, 9 students from MSc nursing and 40 students from Father Muller School of Nursing. All the graduates were honoured during the graduation ceremony and were presented with certificates.
Rev. Sr. Matilda Monteiro, Provincial Superior, Sisters of Charity, while delivering the graduation address, said, “All the graduates should show compassion on humanity while executing the duty and uphold the professional ethics. Meanwhile, all the graduates should carry the legacy of Fr. Muller Institution by serving the needy with love and care.
All the achievers in various fields were awarded on the same occasion. Meritorious graduates and students were presented with awards and prizes for their achievements in academics.
The best outgoing graduate for the year 2018 was awarded to Shalu Sebastian from Basic BSc Nursing. Meanwhile, she expressed her joy over receiving the award and graduation certificate on behalf of all the graduates.
Rev. Msgr. Maxim L Noronha, Vicar General, Mangaluru Diocese and Vice President of FMCI, presided over the programme and called upon the graduates to strive hard in their profession and wished them success in their future endeavours.
FMCI Director Rev.Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho welcomed the gathering and College of Nursing Vice Principal Prof. Victoria D Almeida proposed a vote of thanks. Father Muller College of Nursing Principal Sr. Jacintha D’Souza and Father Muller School of Nursing Principal Jasmine Sarita Vas read out a brief annual report.
Later, cultural events were held.
