Mandya: In an unfortunate incident reported here from Balehathiguppe village, three children have drowned in an agricultural pond on Thursday, April 8.
The deceased have been identified as Ritesh (8), Chandan (11), and Karthik (10). According to a case registered at Pandavapura police station, the children had gone for a swim at the pond and got drowned due to slush.
While, Chandan was a student of Nirmala Convent, Pandavapura, Ritesh was a student of the government school at Balehathiguppe. Chandan and Karthik were sons of Mahadevappa, and Rithesh is the son of Mallikarjuna of the village.
