Mandya: MP sumalatha Ambareesh has revealed that she has been tested positive for Corona Virus and that she is confident of recovering soon.
However, several people who met her are now reeling under fear of contracting the infection.
It was on July 4 that the first-time MP representing Mandya constituency attended a farmers’ meet in Mandya. She had handed over cheques to Asha workers too during the programme that was attended by Minister ST Somashekar, KC Narayanagowda, MLA M Srinivas, Mandya DC among others.
Sumalatha was seen seated on the dais without wearing a mask, while all others are seen covering their faces with masks.
After this event, she developed symptoms like headache and throat pain. She then went in for a test and her reports came positive.
Now, a lot of people who met and interacted with her here are fearing that even they might contract the infection.
