Leopard trapped , Villagers heaved a sigh of relief

KR Pet: A leopard which was frequenting now and then and caused sleepless nights to the villagers has fallen to the trap laid by the forest officials at Anechakana Halli Village.

For the last week, the leopard was seen in the village and caused distress to the villagers. The panicky villagers had requested the forest officials to capture the leopard. A few days back a Leopard cub while hunting dog fell to a pit and died. Anticipating mother leopard will come in search of the cub, the staff of forest Officials under the guidance of Gangadhar Range Forest Officer, had laid a trap. As a result, the leopard has fallen to the trap on Monday midnight around 12.30 Am. On hearing the roar of the leopard inside the trap Mrs, Gauramma, a villager informed the Forest Officials.

Forest Officials RFO Gangadhar. DY RFO. Bharath, Shrikanth, Forest Guards Shivakumar, Staff Prasanna team came to the location and with the help of Villages brought the leopard to the Office of Forest Office in the City.
Gangadhar RFO informed that the female leopard is around 8 years old and as per the instructions of senior Officials the leopard will be released to the wild sanctuary. Villagers heaved a sigh of relief after capturing the leopard.
