Bengaluru: Lake Man Kamegowda, who is fondly called as Kere Kamegowda, a resident of Kalmane in Malavalli taluk of Mandya district has been discharged after winning battle against Covid-19.
He was tested positive on July 21 and was treated at the Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS).
Medical education minister Dr K Sudhakar thanked the hospital staff for treating Kamegowda with care.
Kamegowda informed that he is feeling better and thanked the doctors for the treatment.
A shepherd from Dasanadoddi village in Karnataka’s Mandya district, Kame Gowda, who is now 82-years-old has dug ponds on his own, bringing water to the dry pockets in his village.
He was honoured with Rajyotsava award and he was also lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Mann Ki Baat radio programme.
