Mandya: “There has been a high voter turnout in Mandya for the Lok Sabha election. Therefore, there is a high chance of my mother (Sumalatha Ambareesh) winning the election,” said Abhishek Ambareesh.
Abhishek who visited a tea stall located near Mahaveer Circle of Mandya, interacted with the public sipping his tea. He said that compared to the previous election more people had cast their votes this year. “So there are more chances of Sumalatha winning the election,” he added.
“I am confident that the people of Mandya are with us. Our relation with the citizens of Mandya will always remain good,” said Abhishek.
He requested people, fans and party activists not to place bets on election results.
“I had promised the owner of this tea stall that I would visit the stall after the election to have a cup of tea. Now that the election is over, I am here as promised,” he said.
Slamming rumours that he and Sumalatha would go to Singapore after the election. Abhishek said, “We are here in Mandya not Singapore. If anybody doubts it, they can come here to Mahaveer Circle and see for themselves.”
