Hurt by Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s defeat, JDS follower chops his own finger

Mandya: In a bizzare incident, a man upset over Janata Dal (S) candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s defeat in the Lok Sabha election, has severed his own finger.

The man identified as Sunil hails from Abalavadi village in Maddur, Mandya. It is said that Sunil is a die hard fan of the JD(S) party and he had come to his village from Bengaluru (where he works) to cast his vote for Nikhil Kumaraswamy.

Upset over Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s defeat against independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh in the most anticipated Mandya LS poll, Sunil who came to his village on Friday, May 24, chopped off his inked finger.

A case has been registered at Koppa Police Station.
