Fire in coconut warehouse: owner died

Nagamangala: The owner of a coconut warehouse died while extinguishing the fire at Sandekkoppalu village of Bindiganawile on Tuesday.

Prakash, 39, a resident of the village, died in a fire accident. Coconut was stored in a warehouse belonging to Prakash.

Prakash, who went to extinguish the blaze in the warehouse on Monday night. He died on the way to the hospital as he inhaled smoke and was facing difficulty in breathing.

About 30 thousand coconuts were burnt and destroyed in the fire. The fire brigade personnel arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the fire. A case has been registered by the staff of Bindiganawile Station.
