KR Pete: Tahsildar M Shivamurthy and Chief officer Kumar held an awareness campaign for the public, shop owners and auto drivers regarding the importance of wearing masks, taking vaccination and maintaining social distancing.

Shivamurthy while speaking to the public in front of the old municipality office said “50 to 60 people are dying every day in the state due to mutant coronavirus. Hence it is necessary for the government to take tough decisions like lockdown, night curfew and weekend curfew.”

Chief officer Satish kumar speaking about Corona Guidelines among the shop owners on the main street, including bus stops, autonomous houses, wineshops, shops, tea canteen and fruit shops asked them to follow them strictly. “Customers who come to the shops should not be given the necessary things unless they have a mask, tell them to maintain social distancing and stand in line. Mask are mandatory for customers coming to wine shops,” he said.

“Vaccine will be given for everyone over the age of 45 at primary health centres ad government hospitals so people should take the vaccine. Otherwise, the inevitable lockdown would have to be imposed if Corona gets out of control, he added. He also stated that it is everybody’s responsibility to take the precautionary measures against covid.
