Mandya: A 13-year-old boy died after coming under the wheels of a temple chariot in Hanumanthanagar in Bharatinagar of Mandya district on Sunday.
The incident was reported from Athmalingeshwara temple in the town.
According to the police, as part of the Athmalingeshwara car festival, a chariot was eing pulled by the devotees, when the boy identified as Shivakumar, resident of Karadakere village slipped and fell under the wheels and died on the spot.
“In the incident, lower limb of Lingegowda, 50, a devotee, who tried to save Shivakumar got fractured. Both of themwere rushed to a local private hospital, said police.
A case has been registered at KM Doddi police station.
