Madikeri: Deputy Commissioner Annies Kanmani Joy and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer K Lakshmi Priya visited Bhagamandala on Friday, June 21 to discuss the precautionary measures to be taken in case of floods. Bhagamandala in Kodagu district is known to receive heavy rainfall.
The DC and ZP CEO sought information regarding the measures to be taken to tackle flood situation along with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Fire, Home Guards and the Police departments. The locals of Bhagamandala explained the hardships they face during the monsoon to the deputy commissioner.
The DC directed the officials to undertake all the necessary precautionary measures in case of heavy rains.
DC Annies Kanmani Joy and ZP CEO K Lakshmi Priya also visited Sri Bhagandeshwara Temple in Bhagamandala and offered a special pooja in the temple.
