Karwar: Four days after dead bodies of a woman and two children were found on the shores of Koppadamakki, near Manki in Honnavar, the police were successful in identifying them.
The deceased are Meena Nagaraj (37), Meena’s daughters Monisha (15) and Komala (12) from Yashwanthpur, Bengaluru.
Meena’s brother Jagadish from Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru has identified the dead bodies.
Jagadish has registered a complaint in Manki police station against his brother-in-law Nagaraj for torturing and murdering his sister. Three dead bodies were found on May 13 and from the outset it seemed that the three had ended life.
But there was no clue available about the identity of the deceased.
