Karwar: The JMFC Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against five accused in the fake pornographic CD case. The fake porn CD was made with the intention of defaming Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji.
It can be recalled that, in the year 2010, a group of miscreants recorded a doctored pornographic CD. A person, who looked similar to the swamiji, was made to act in the video. The video was then edited to make it look like the swamiji was in the video and this was made into a CD. The video was then released on social media.
Police officer Gopal Hosur and team had conducted a raid, during which the group of perpetrators was caught red handed.
Later, a charge sheet was filed against the gang and was submitted to the Kumta JMFC Court.
The five accused, Balachandra Prabhakar Kudlekar, Gajanan Shumba Upadhyay alias Deekshith, Shivaram Vinayak Adi, Vishwanath alias Vishu Ghaniram Gopi Bhat and Raju alias Rajgopal Mahadev Adi, who did not appear before the court, were issued non-bailable warrant.
