Karwar: Senior Congress leader D K Shivakumar visited the Sri Jagadishwari Temple in Ankola, Uttara Kannada recently.
The former minister is said to have arrived at the temple from Hubballi via a helicopter. DKShi also interacted with Congress party workers after offering his prayers at the temple.
Locals believe that the goddess Jagadishwari looks over the town and grants the wishes of the devotees who visit her.
Sources said that DKShi visited the temple as his mother is an avid devotee of the goddess.
