Honnavar: BJP National President Amit Shah paid a visit to the residence of Paresh Mesta, who died under mysterious circumstance in Honnnavar two months ago and assured the family of a NIA probe into case.
Pouring his heart out to Shah, Kamalakar, father of Paresh said that his son was tortured to death and even after two months of the incident, there is no hope of justice.
“We have no faith on state government,” Kamalakar said urging Shah to ensure that a high-level probe is taken up in this case.
Shah spent about 30 minutes with the grieving family.
It may be recalled that Paresh Mesta murder had sparked violence in Uttar Kannada district as the BJP and saffron wings alleged that the youth was killed by miscreants from a particular community. The state government has already handed over the case to the CBI.
Union minister Ananth Kumar Hegade, BJP State president BS Yeddyurappa were present with Shah.
