Chikkamagaluru: After news spread that Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Math will be taken to Chennai on Friday for further treatment, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said that the Swamiji’s medical bills would be footed by the state government.
While interacting with the media on Friday in Shringeri, HDK said, “The doctors are examining the Swamiji for minor complications in his health. They have decided to take him to Chennai for further treatment.”
He also said that the government would take care of all the seer’s medical expenses. He added that the chief secretary has been instructed to give regular updates regarding the Swamiji’s treatment.
