Chikkamagaluru: As per Indian culture, mother and father are equivalent to God. All that most parents wish from their children during their old age, is some love and care. However, some children neglect this responsibility.
One such incident has been reported from Balegeri of Malnad region where Putte Gowda and Jayamma are completely neglected by their own son just because they refused to write their 4-acre-land in his name.
The son has left the house along with his wife and settled down in a city.
Meanwhile, he has also told them not to visit him untill they give the land to him.
Putte Gowda and Jayamma are economically backward, but still, in order to make their son’s life comfortable, have toiled day and night in the field, sometimes even sacrificing food to feed their son.
However, people are admiring the humanity of their son-in-law, who has sheltered the couple found roaming on the streets and given them moral support.
Sujatha, the old couple’s daughter is disheartened looking at her parents’ condition. Putta Gowda and Jayamma are found weeping day in and day out.
They had filed a complaint regarding the same in the Sringeri police station.
Ironically, the police have neglected the complaint considering it as a civil case.
