Chikkamagaluru: The Chikkamagaluru district administration withdrew the permission previously issued for light vehicles to ply on the Charmadi ghat road connecting the district with Dakshina Kannada.
On Friday, August 30, the Chikkamagaluru district administration had allowed light vehicles to use the ghat road between 6 AM and 6 PM.
However, by evening, the district administration changed its decision. They decided to continue with the ban even on light motor vehicles after a report was submitted by SP Harish Pandey.
“No vehicles will be allowed to ply on the ghat roads till September 14,” the authorities informed.
