Sariya: Two persons were arrested by the Sariya Police of on Wednesday, January 22, for the illegal transport of explosive materials.
The accused are Suresh Tandi (31) and Ishwar Nayak (43), residents of Odisha.
According to police sources, the department was tipped-off about the duo’s whereabouts and based on this, a team led by Station House Officer Ashish Vasnik, nabbed the accused at Kanchanpur Marg. The police informed that the road was barricaded as soon as they received information from a credible source.
Meanwhile, the police seized a Bolero that was being used to move the explosives, seven bags of ammonium nitrate weighing around 3.5 kgs, a bundle of safety wire and 700 detonators.
The police have begun an investigation after interrogating the accused.
