No meeting, agitation for next one month: BJP Prez to cadres

New Delhi: BJP President JP Nadda on Monday interacted with party cadres from across India through audio conferencing and warned them against organising any meeting, agitation or conference in the next one month.

He also hailed Sunday’s “Janta Curfew” a historical success.

“For next one month – No participation in any agitation, meeting, conferences and demonstration,” asserted Nadda.

He added, “In all circumstances we should follow social distancing and In no circumstances we should leave our houses. We should try to help the administration.”

The BJP President also directed all State Presidents and District Presidents to cooperate with the District Administration in traffic control, lockdown, helpline in hospitals and helping people in home quarantine.

“We should help & co-operate in mouth mask distribution, distribution of sanitisers & co-operate cleanliness program,” the BJP Chief directed.

He added, “We should help those people who because of the lockdown are not able
to get food. Along with district administration, we should ensure food packets for them. At the same time we should follow the principle of social distancing.”

Meanwhile, he reiterated what the government of India has said many times “Work from Home” as far as possible.

Warning against rumour mongering and fake news, Nadda said all BJP cadres should be careful on social media and share only credible messages on Whatsapp and on other mediums.

“We should encourage people not to stock essential goods more than requirements,” he requested.

The BJP President said that the whole world is facing the coronavirus pandemic which has become a threat to humanity. “At this junction, being the largest political party of the world, it has became our prime responsibility to fulfill our duty,” he added.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India stands at 415, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Eight people have succumbed to the virus till now.
