Surat: A lot of surprising and shocking episodes happen in wedding halls, but this one beats them all.
A couple from Surat had dreamed of a beautiful wedding until this month, when the groom’s father and the bride’s mother went missing and soon suspicion rose that the two may have eloped with each other.
While this suspicion has written ‘The End’ to their children’s fairytale wedding that was all set to be solemnised in February, it has left both the families embarrassed.
It is said that the groom’s father and the bride’s mother were long time ‘friends’ and as per their common friends, the two were also ‘one-time lovers’.
This has led many to suspect that the two may have left their homes to be with each other.
While the groom’s father, a textile merchant went missing from his home in Katargam, the lady left her house in Navsari on January 10.
As of now a missing report stands registered and the wedding that was scheduled for February in Surat has been called off.
