Dubai returned man who organised feast for 1500 people tests positive for COVID19 mainMorena (Madhya Pradesh): A man who recently returned from Dubai, along with 11 of his family members, tested positive for COVID-19. 

It is learnt that he recently arranged a feast for around 1,500 people in honour of his recently deceased mother.

Suresh, a resident of the Morena district in Madhya Pradesh, works as a waiter in Dubai. He started developing symptoms of COVID-19 five days after organising the feast, on March 25. He, however, went to the hospital four days later and, along with his wife, was put under quarantine.

They tested positive for COVID-19 on April 2. Later, 10 out of Suresh’s 23 relatives tested positive.

All have been quarantined.

To prevent the virus spread, the local authorities have sealed the entire area where the feast took place.

The total number of COVID-19 Cases in India crossed 3000 after a surge in new cases on Friday. So far, 62 deaths have been reported from across the country.
