New Delhi: A man attacked a woman with the chemical at New Delhi Railway station’s Ajmeri Gate, on Saturday, December 7.
According to the statement of Deputy Police Commissioner (Railways) Harender Singh, the victim of the attack is said to have been separated from her husband and has a kid.
“Basically from Telangana, the woman was living in the national capital from the past six months. The alleged attacker was also a vagabond, like the lady and was a resident of West Bengal. He is said to have asked her company for which she had refused. This is said to be the reason for the alleged chemical attack on the woman”, the DCP said.
He also informed that the victim had been taken to LNJP Hospital from where she was shifted to Guru Nanak Eye Hospital.
DCP Singh has said that a case was already filed against the attacker and the manhunt was on, as he had absconded soon after the incident.
