Ranchi: The Jharkhand Assembly on Tuesday, July 23, witnessed uproar over Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravansi viral video in which he was allegedly seen seeking bribe.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and Leader of Opposition, Hemant Soren, on Tuesday, raised the issue when the House gathered at 11 a.m. Soren demanded a probe into the matter and Chandravansi’s resignation.
The JMM legislator also approached the Speaker’s podium and raised slogans.
“I will resign if the bribery charges are proven,” Chandravansi said.
The ruling BJP legislator Radha Krishna Kishore defended the Health Minister and sought proof of the bribery charges made by the opposition legislators.
The BJP legislators also raised the issue of Soren’s violation of Land Act. “Table the report which indicated land act violation,” Soren retorted.
The opposition members also raised the drought, mob lynching and other issues of the state.
