Hubballi: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reveal the source of the money used to buy the alliance MLAs in the state. “I am interested to know whether they were bought using the money earned by selling tea,” he stated.
Speaking to reporters in Hubballi, he alleged that the BJP is known for corruption and using the money earned through these means to destabilise the democratic institutions.
“My father was also a Prime Minister but he never tried to play with the security of the country. He never visited Pakistan either. There was also no saree exchange scheme,” he said.
He also alleged that the BJP uses emotional issues to win the elections.
Terming BJP leader B Sriramulu a ‘mining thief’, he stated that such leaders play a key role in the BJP.
Responding to former CM Jagadish Shettar’s comment on his mother Chennamma, he stated that BJP leaders don’t have the moral right to talk about his family.
He also challenged the BJP leaders to have an open discussion on the contribution of the BJP and JDS to the development of the North Karnataka region.
