Hubbali: Union Minister of State for Railways, Suresh Angadi has announced several new rail services for Karnataka for the year 2020.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, December 18, he said, “We have received a lot of requests and demands for the implementation of super-fast trains between Hubbali and Bengaluru, which can help commuters reach their destination within five hours. Based on these requests, the Union railway ministry has decided to implement super-fast trains without interrupting the current train schedules.”
“The super-fast trains will be initiated between Hubbali-Bengaluru, Bidar-Kalaburgi-Belagavi and Bengaluru-Mangaluru. Regarding the Dharwad-Belagavi direct train service, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been submitted. Once this comes into action, the Hubbali-Dharwad-Belagavi rail service will be even more convenient,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Union railway ministry has yet to decide on the new train schedule.
